CockroachesXL RoachMuch like a standard cockroach, but significantly larger. HunteroachAn evolution of the XL roach; it has large sharp claws, and a distressing turn of speed, making it very difficult to fight. However, it is not terribly resiliant ...if you can hit it. TankroachAnother evolution of the XL roach; slow-moving, but incredibly hard to kill and can cause significant damage. Appears to have special ability to maintain traction even on the slipperiest of surfaces. BoomroachOne to avoid if you can. Can hit you from range, with a burst of flame. Appears to form from evolving with ready access to welder fuel. Also appears to, once mature, synthesise welder-fuel internally. Explodes when shot. ChemroachAnother one to avoid. Much like the boomroach, it spits quite nasty substances at a distance. Appears to form from evolving with ready access to miscellaneous chemicals. ToxroachDefinitely one to avoid if you can. Acts as an area-denial variety, constantly emitting low-levels of gaseous plasma; and large bursts of the gas when disturbed. Forms in atmospheres with traces of plasma gas. Extreme fire hazard! NaniteroachA very peculiar specimen, it appears to be a roach that has accumulated stray nanites to the point its body has been permanently altered by the technology. Has a miniature robotics fab on its back that can produce nanite swarms when threatened. RadroachA radioactive 'roach. Would you believe it? Emits continuous low-level radiation, with harder bursts when threatened. Bluespace Roach...not much is known about these. We don't know how they form, or why. All we know is, they're a nasty thing to try and fight; what it lacks in physical offensive capabilities, it makes up for in spades with the ability to teleport its target around. It also has a nasty tendency to teleport away when you hit it, which makes it very hard to kill. King-RoachBuilt like a pickup-truck, and hits like one too. It is reported that it can rally other nearby roaches to its aid, but little else is known and there is very little to back up these claims. |
